The original Halo trilogy were a defining set of games for me. Through playing the games, I noticed the Elites had a cultural system similar to feudal Japan, so I wanted to create a Musha-e inspired image of the Master Chief. Myth and fear combine to create the image of the Demon, with fire in his eyes, sword in hand and a skull underfoot.
